What We Believe

LOVE. GROW. SERVE

Our mission is to lead people into a transforming relationship with Jesus Christ, to love God with passion, grow together in community and serve the world in love.

 ………………………………

We believe God desires an intimate relationship with all people; so we value a commitment to PRAYER and WORSHIP.

When Jesus was asked, “What is God’s greatest commandment?” he responded by saying, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind” (Matthew 22:36-38).

 ………………………………

We believe God expects people to live with integrity and high moral standards; so we value HOLINESS–growing spiritually through participation in a class or small group, with friends committed to Bible study and accountability.

Jesus said, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God” (Matthew 5:8).

“As he who called you is holy, be holy yourselves in all your conduct” (1 Peter 1:15).

  ………………………………

We believe every person is uniquely created, gifted and called by God to serve in a meaningful capacity; so we value helping people discover their gifts and equipping people to SERVE.

Jesus said, “Whoever wishes to be great among you must be your servant; just as the Son of Man came not be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:26, 28).

“Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received” (1 Peter 4:10).

 ………………………………

We believe God’s desire and love for all people challenges the church to establish authentic friendships with people who are far from God; so we value being a WITNESS to the extraordinary life that we experience in Jesus Christ.

When Jesus was criticized for befriending sinful people, he said, “The Son of Man came to seek out and to save the lost” (Luke 19:10).

………………………………

We believe God expects people to live generously and sacrificially; so we value living a life of GENEROSITY and caring for people in need.

Jesus said, ‘If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will find it” (Matthew 16:24-25).

Deuteronomy 16:17 “All shall give as they are able, according to the blessing of the Lord your God that he has given you.”
